Red Riding Hood 

RedRidingHood was created in December of 2000 and is a retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale. This story requires little interaction. Only occasionally does the reader have to click on links to progress through the story. As the reader interacts, though, the character develops and eventually this dark retelling of the fairy tale unfolds. The reader can browse over parts of the screen, too, and objects will respond by moving. 


This was Leishman's first major experiment in creating an interactive-narrative site. It is an interesting site because it resembles a graphic novel. The music played throughout the journey is also beneficial in that it sets the dark tone of the story.
